110 Year Old Levi’s for Sale on Ebay

30 Jul

This 110-year-old pair of Levi’s was recently put up for sale on Ebay, and sold for an astounding $36,099.  They were found in a old mine in the Rand Mining District, in the Mojave Desert, California.  They were found in excellent condition, aside from being covered in some of the candlewax from the candles the miner was using to light the tunnel he was working in.  Funny enough… they’re exactly my size.

Now the question is…why did the miner take off his pants? Did he just walk out of the mine at the end of the day buck naked?

They must have made them tougher back then. The Levi jeans I wear all seem to fall apart after not-much-hard-work.

Wonder how much they will sell for?

I dunno, around $36,099 I’m guessing. I wouldn’t pay it myself but using my innate cunning, thats how much I reckon someone else will pay.

hmmm. if they were do valuable why does the seller take a picture of them in the dirt. would be interesting to examine the wax and see if the wax was modern.
    pretty fishy

And to think I have ridden my motorcycle past those pants 100′s of times over the years in Randsburg.
