Normally when someone is hanging around your car, you’d expect it to be a bunch of bored teenagers at the local strip mall. For a motorist in Barrow, Alaska it turned out to be much worse… a cheeky polar bear. With nowhere to run and no time to unlock the door, he used the car as barrier – so the bear gave chase around the vehicle. After several trips around the car, he was able to take refuge in another vehicle before the bear could get a hold of him. The man was shaken up, but unhurt. Polar bears are considered the most dangerous species of bear, and have been known to rip men to shreds.

Imagine traveling through miles and miles of the scorching Peruvian desert, with enormous sand dunes in every direction. You wonder how anything could survive in this god-forsaken wasteland. You’re your throat is parched but you’re out of water. Just when you’re about to give up all hope, before you lies a sight so extraordinary, it must be a mirage – a tiny settlement, complete with lagoon, lush palm groves, carob trees, cafes, neatly clipped lawns, and even the odd swimming pool.
Welcome to Huacachina, Peru – the ‘oasis of the Americas’. Over the centuries, it’s glimmering waters have saved the lives of hundreds of sun-addled travels lost in the desert.
These days visitors have been flying in from all over the world to relax in the shade of the palm trees, sandboard down the dunes and, most importantly, to enjoy the waters, which reportedly contain medicinal properties that have been said to cure skin ailments and rheumatic illnesses.

Prestige Imports of Miami took this “modified” Lamborghini Gallardo to Concorso Italiano – Pebble Beach week in California and shocked a lot of people. The doodles were done in sharpie markers on the paint, and then finished with a clear coat for protection. In all it took about 2 weeks to complete. It’s eliciting mixed reactions everywhere it goes… What do you think?
